Dawson's Academy of Dance & Stage

"A heck of a singer and a terrific prospect". That's how the Stage magazine is describing Bethany Mann's performance in the recent Northwest Agent's Showcase.

The show is an opportunity for up-coming talent to be noticed by the region's agents, and is in aid of suffers of Parkinson's Disease & The Variety Club of Great Britain. This year the Academy was invited to open the show, which was held at the Paradise Room, Blackpool Pleasure Beach on Thursday 18 February.

The review in this week's Stage magazine, will say "The Dawson School of Dance featured singer Bethany Mann in an opening routine and this girl really is a heck of a singer and a terrific prospect. This ten-strong troupe clearly relished their evening in the spotlight at this prestige cabaret venue."

Congratulations to all the pupils who took part, representing themselves and the Academy so well.

Just a few tickets are left for each of the Showtime! performances in March. So please act quickly to make sure you don't miss out.

The shows are on Monday 15 and Tuesday 16 March at the Bolton Albert Halls.

Due to increased demand we have started an additional 'Baby Class' on Saturday mornings to accommodate newcomers.

This introductory baby class will run from 9:30am to 10:30am on Saturday mornings, with the existing baby class continuing at 10:30am to 12:00pm as it does at the moment.

Supporting GCSE & Diplomas in schools our new beginners technique classes in ballet, modern contemporary, limbering & strengthing, street jazz and singing on Monday evenings and Saturdays.

These classes are for boys and girls aged 13 - 18 who are taking or about to start GCSEs or college diplomas.
